The Bro’s Guide to Bending the Truth

Hey dudes,

Mingling. Maybe you love it, maybe you hate it. Either way, there will be times where you have to be in a situation where a crowd is socializing and talking to each other.

If it’s a purely social event and not a professional one, you still should put a little effort into it, so that you can make the most of the opportunity. You’l be talking to at least a few bros you might want to get to know better, and maybe you’re not sure what to say.

Don’t be afraid to tell some good stories. Build yourself up! If you don’t do it, nobody else will.

Way back in the days before websites, TV, and even radio, this kind of storytelling used to be a true art form. “Tall tales,” they were called. The audience and the storyteller both knew it wasn’t true, but the important thing was that nobody cared. They were having too much fun to care.

Remember, when you can stand out and be entertaining at a fun event, it builds up your personal brand.

Later,
-The Blog Dude
